LIZ LOZA: Oh, those Bangles are looking broken, and missing Tyler Eifert in the red area of the field. Fun fact, in 2015 the Bengals notched the fifth most touchdowns, at 50. Heading into week five this year, dead last in the league, in terms of scores. Now, obviously Tyler Eifert, huge red zone potential. He’s eyeing a week six return, seems fully recovered from that ankle injury, but had a setback in practice with his back, so we’re not quite sure. Meanwhile, Jeremy Hill, the team’s other major touchdown producer, had a chest injury this week heading into the game, and then exited week five’s contest with what appears to be either a shoulder or clavicle issue. No word as of yet as to what his availability in week six will look like. It doesn’t surprise me, then, that Brandon LaFell– I know it’s ugly– but Brandon LaFell scored two touchdowns in this Sunday’s game. AJ Green, after all, just one man. He’s getting all of the defensive attention, and next week, week six, the Bengals have the Patriots. That’s LaFell’s old team. There might be a little revenge game going on there. LaFell available in over 95% of Yahoo leagues, so if you are desperate and looking for a little narrative, LaFell might be a producer in the red area of the field for you. Also notable, Tyler Eifert’s still available in 25% of leagues. So, if you want to get a jump start on next week and you’re really desperate, filling in flexes and buys, LaFell might be your guy. The schedule also loosens up after that, Cleveland and Washington. Be sure to check back here at Yahoo Sports for more rapid reaction throughout the day, and the week.
