RIT Men’s Soccer took on University of Rochester on Saturday playing their second game in four days with temperature above eighty degrees. Fatigue took its toll on the Tigers. The Yellowjackets struck first about twenty minutes into the game. Geoffrey Rouin would bury a free-kick from 19 yards out to put them up one-nothing. Only eight minutes later Aleks Dombrowski puts a nice service on to the feet of Bryce Ikeda to put the Yellowjackets up two-nothing. They’d carry that lead into the half. Early in the second half, RIT would get called for a penalty inside the box and Alex Di Perna in a would bury a penalty kick to make it 3-nothing Yellowjackets. The Yellow Jackets would add on another goal about five minutes later but RIT would strike back as Anthony DeFeo deflects a ball over the head of the Yellowjackets keeper to make it four to one. The University of Rochester put one more in to defeat RIT and a five to one loss at home. The Tigers are now one and three at home in two and three overall. Their next game is Tuesday at Nazareth College at 4:00 p.m.
